Pranamas( Proofs etc)
Topic: Dwaita Philosophy

The proof 'Pramanam" gives meaning in two senses; one to denote "true Knowledge and two "means of obtaining true knowledge". Shri Madhwacharya called first one as 'Kevala Pramanam' and second as 'Anu -pramanam'. The characteristic of both is truness. To know the thing as it really and truely is, is kevala pramanam. Onw which enales us to get this knowledge is anupramanam. Anupramanam can be again of three types, perception; inference; verbal testimony. ( Hari Sarvottama, Vayu Jivottama, Panchabheda, real world, No guru like madhwacharya)

Doctrine of Dvaita Philosophy
Mood:  bright

Some people ponder over creation of this word, its purpose, who is creator and what is the status of an individual. Perhaps India is the only country where lot of studies in this direction was carried out , not only now but from many centuries ago.

The Vedas which gives answer to all these questions is well preserved in India. God, the supreme "thing" is well accepted in almost all Indian culture. However in India also there are many school of thoughts, which try to perceive God and individual in different angles.

However only Madhwa philosophy gives correct interpretation of vedas. Here only one gets answer to all his question whether to highly spiritual question or to the one based on day to day experiences. Shri. Madhwacharya, incarnation of Vayugod in the year around 1103 A.D preached  this theory for the benefit of many people who were suffering from ignornance.

Dvaita or as the name suggests "two" is popularly known as Madhwa philosophy based on great Shri. Madhwacharya. The leading doctrine of this philosophy is

1) Shri Krishna is the Supreme being

2) The word is real and not illusionary

3) Difference is real and permanent

4) Individuals are dependant on Shri. Krishna

5) There is gradation among individuals

6) there is state called "Mukti" or liberation where individuals enjoy their innate bliss

7) Pure devotion leads to this bliss

8) There are mainly three types of  "pranams" or proofs.

9) Shri Krishna can be understood only by proper knowledge from Vedas.

                                    ----------------------------

In the next series we will see what are these proofs first which may help in better understanding of this great Philosophy.
